School Librarian: â€‹Mrs. Coleman

The library is open from 7:30-2:25 and students must have a pass from their teachers to visit. Teachers and other faculty may schedule an event in the Library Classroom by calling or emailing. The library can be reached at (412) 793-7000 extension 2149.

The Penn Hills High School Library and Media Center is a favorite spot for many students. The library is a great place for students to read, study, or just hang out. We have a wide variety of seating options including desks, comfy chairs, and couches. The library is a technology-friendly zone and students are welcome to use iPhones, iPads, and the laptop and desktop computers held in the library to read and do research.

Our collection includes over 5,000 fiction and nonfiction books in print as well as many more eBooks on Follett Shelf. Follett Shelf is a new library program that allows students to check library-purchased eBooks and read them on computers, iPads and other tablets, or smartphones. This is a new cost-effective and eco-friendly look at reading.

There are 25 laptops and 2 desktop computers available for student use in the library, as well as three desktops for Library Club Members and staff. The library also houses a printer and state-of-the-art copier.
